I was sitting at home, pretty bored. It's getting colder and colder out and the sky is quite grey today, but I still thought I'd got outside and take some photos for a look. I got this wonderful knit sweater/dress from Zara that is the coziest piece I've owned in a long time! I love the high collar.
I'm back home! And I got to see my parents, it's been two whole months. They had gone on a very fancy trip in the Mediterranean and my mom, knowing I love bright lipstick, brought me back an Yves Saint Laurent lipstick! I was so excited when she brought the box out and when I took the lipstick out, I fell in love with the colour! Rose Culte from the Rouge Volupté line.
It's fall, time to wear darker colours. I'm so glad I got that sheer short sleeveless button up from City Downtown, it fits perfectly under thicker long sleeves. The collard pops out and gives the top an extra little umph!
As mentioned in the previous post, I finally checked out Topshop in Toronto. I didn't give in to the Nars bright pink lipstick, because I'm a student, and I wasn't really up for paying 30$ for it. I got the next best thing though! Lips by Topshop lipstick in Brighton Rock. I think it's a fabulous colour! And it's slightly matte. Not really a fall colour, but I like having a little bright pop of colour with my darker fall shades of clothing.
Topshop is now open at The Bay in Toronto! October 5th was the grand opening. Today, I finally got around to checking it out. They've got lots of wonderful knit sweaters for the fall season, among other things. Anyway, I didn't make any big purchases today, just some darling earrings.
Ainslie and I had a little fun taking some photos. I got this great new top that I am completely in love with from a cute Korean boutique on Queen West called Durumi. All their clothing is simple and elegant. I wanted everything!
I found this lovely pair of vintage Feragamo's! I was so so excited to find them and they were exactly my size. I told my mom and she was so excited about it as well (there's a whole history behind it hehe). I do need to polish the buckle in front a little bit, but I think they are so darling!
I got the chance to volunteer at the fashion show run by Coco Rocha in Toronto called The shOws. I unfortunately wasn't able to get to my camera for the first show, Thomas Tait, but he had a wonderful collection! I was obsessed with the sunglasses, they were amazing. The second show was for Calla. The prints were very spring like which, of course, is perfect for a spring/summer collection. Her collection also included lots of very neat sunglasses...I want them all...Anyway, I tried my best to sneak some photos! Enjoy :)
I finally got around to get some knitting needles and some yarn and I BUCKLED down and knitted for two afternoons, and by around 5 o'clock today! Produced myself a cozy circle scarf. I wish I had a little bit more yarn, it's a little tight, but I'm sure it'll stretch out a little.
One of my courses is to run a store at my school, the Business Lab. Anyway, today I purchased this very cute top from our store! There were only two of them, and they pretty much immediately disappeared. Now I know it isn't a very Fall shirt, but it works well under blazers and sweaters.
I'm scrolling through Tumblr, and some photos from the Chanel 2012 spring/summer ready-to-wear collection are showing up. I'm absolutely loving the colours, shapes, and the chic simplicity the collection has. Light mint/sea foam is making a new appearance for spring. It's such a lovely colour and works with many different shapes. This first outfit has to be my favourite!
